Save Files

This page mainly introduces how to save files from the scan result list after you use the best Mac data recovery software – MiniTool Mac Data Recovery - to scan lost or deleted files from hard drive or other storage devices.

MiniTool Mac Data Recovery is embedded with the "Preview" feature. And this function is used to preview files before you save them. You can choose a file and click Preview button to check the file if it is the one you need.

After previewing files, you can select and save the desired files into a safe location.

1. Make sure that all files you wish to recover are selected.

2. Click the "Save" button. Then you will be asked to appoint a save location for the recovered files. You can click “Browse” button to select a target folder to save the recovered files. Finally, click "OK" and the saving file progress will start at once.

Note: 1. It’s highly recommended that you choose a new destination path which is different from the original path to save the recovered files, thus, to avoid data overwriting. Data overwriting will cause permanent data loss and make the old lost/deleted files unrecoverable. 2. The "Free Space" tells you how much unused space exists in the folder; and the "Required Space" indicates that the space you need to save all recovered data.
